Profiles | Leslie Anderson

Graduate Researcher | PhD Student

Leslie has spent the last 30 years learning about and practicing public administration, primarily with the Province of BC and the Territorial governments of Yukon, Northwest Territories and Nunavut, as well as with several Indigenous governments and organizations. A fan of seeking unexpected connections, spending time outdoors, ravens, and building community, her research focus is on building approaches to policy development that better support sustainability and reconciliation. She is grateful to reside as an uninvited guest on the unceded territory of the W̱SÁNEĆ Nation, where her family (with roots from the UK and the Isle of Mann) have lived for several generations. She has training in economics, biology, law and public administration and is an elected municipal councillor in the District of Highlands.
